A new e-mail and calendar service has been adopted for use by the College for the faculty and staff. This system will replace our current system and be fully integrated into our campus community on April 20, 2011. The new system is hosted by Microsoft and provides increased capabilities for both e-mail and calendaring.
In order to get started, take a look at the introductory link below. It will give you an overview of all the features of the new system.

To assist you in learning about the new system, you will find help screens organized as tabs: FAQs, Preparing for the New System, E-mail, Contacts, Calendar, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions for NCC’s New E-mail System
Will my e-mail name be the same in the new system?
Everyone’s e-mail address will be firstname.lastname@ncc.edu <mailto:name.lastname@ncc.edu> , for example Carl.Jones@ncc.edu <mailto:Carl.Jones@ncc.edu>
Will my password be the same in the new system?
Your starter password is the first letter of your first name, the first letter of your last name, in lower case and the last four digits of your social security number. For example, Professor Carl Jones has a SS # of 123-54-6789. His password would be “cj6789”
Will my address book/contacts be carried over to the new system?
No, but it is a simple process of transferring them to the new e-mail system. The procedure for transferring addresses/contacts is available under the "Preparing for @NCC" tab.
If my e-mail address has changed, how will that affect my mailing lists that are not managed by NCC?
You should receive e-mail, but may have a problem sending an e-mail to your group. Please notify the list administrator, of any e-mail address changes that may have occurred.
Will my e-mails be carried over to the new system?
Yes, all your e-mails will be migrated to the new system.
Will my calendar events be carried over to the new system?
No, but it is a simple process of transferring them to the new e-mail system. We will have more information about the process posted on Lionnet, shortly.
How will e-mail addresses that are not someone’s name (e.g. – department@ncc.edu) be handled in the new system?
The Department Manager/chair and administrative areas will be notified via e-mail.
Will our old e-mail system still be accessible?
Yes, the old system will be accessible throughout the summer, to retrieve any contacts or calendar items.
What if I have a question and/or problem with e-mail?
You can fill out a help desk ticket and someone from our technical staff will get back to you or stop by either the Information Commons located in the Library or G145 computer labs and a technical Assistant will help you.

Enroll in our Self Service Reset Password Application
The College has established a new procedure for password changes. Electronic systems for electronic mail(Future plans), logging on to your NCC computer, logging on to LionNet, using the helpdesk system, accessing iTunes U and gaining access to the campus wireless network will now all use a common password.
To establish your common password to these systems, you must activate a password by enrolling in our Self Service Reset Password Management application. Follow either of the links below.
